Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings.

Kezia is a member of the practice team, whose role is to support the GPs on a daily basis with the management of patients in the community either face to face or telephone support. Her work involves following up housebound patients for example following discharge from hospital.
Kezia works closely with both internal and external clinical staff to deliver high quality nursing to manage patients who have complex and high risk conditions.

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks.
