I joined the Loddon practice as a partner in 2006. I enjoy all aspects of general practice, and have a special interest in emergency medicine, skin disease and women’s and children’s health. I have been a senior clinical tutor for Norwich Medical School students for some years and volunteer as a doctor for the Norfolk Accident Rescue Service.
When not working I enjoy spending time with my family on and around the Norfolk Broads.

I joined Chet Valley Medical Practice in October 2015 after completing my GP training in Norfolk. I studied biomechanical science and pharmacology before completing my medical training at the UEA. I enjoy all aspects of general practice and teach haematology and cardiology to medical students.
Outside of work my wife and I enjoy walking and canoeing around the Norfolk broads and coastline. Our two daughters keep us busy, but if there is spare time I enjoy carpentry and DIY projects.

I was bought up in South Norfolk from a young age and attended Norwich High School. I trained in medicine as a mature student studying at UEA with post-graduate training at Norfolk and Norwich and James Paget Hospitals. Following completion of my general practice training I went on to complete a post graduate diploma in Palliative Medicine working for the Specialist Palliative Care team at JPUH.
My interests out of work include skiing, walking the dog and spending time with family and friends.

Before this I worked as a Portuguese Language Interpreter in the Legal and Health sectors. I also completed a degree in Geography at UCL. I have a young family, so outside of work life is very busy! We particularly enjoy trips to the coast at weekends.

Keziah Hopkins
Keziah is a member of the practice team, whose role is to support the GPs with the management of patients in the community either face to face or with telephone support. Her work involves supporting vulnerable housebound patients for example by contacting them following discharge from hospital.
Keziah works closely with both internal and external clinical staff to deliver high quality nursing to manage patients who have complex and high-risk conditions.

David works alongside the GPs to help patients get the best out of their medications. He is able to provide expert advice on prescribing, conduct medication reviews to ensure safety and effectiveness and is the lead for the management of Diabetes and Respiratory disease.

Rachel supports David in managing medications within the practice. She is able to help with prescriptions, medication monitoring, conduct medication reviews and patient education.

First Contact Physiotherapist (FCP)

An FCP is an expert in musculoskeletal conditions. They can assess, diagnose, and manage patients with conditions such as back, neck and joint pain – often without the need to see a GP.
FCPs help patients stay active, recover faster and avoid unnecessary prescriptions or imaging.

Cathy, our Primary Care Mental Health Nurse works closely with patients experiencing a range of emotional and psychological challenges. She provides early support, assessment, and ongoing care for issues such as anxiety, depression, and stress. By working alongside GPs and community services, she can help guide you through treatment options, offer practical coping strategies, and connect you with the right resources—ensuring your care is personal, timely, and effective.

She works alongside the clinical team to help with recovery-focused activities—whether it’s building daily routines, improving confidence, or accessing local support networks. Her role is to empower you in taking small, meaningful steps that support long-term recovery.

Lydia, our social prescriber supports our patients with non-medical needs that may be affecting their health, such as loneliness, financial worries, or lifestyle changes. Lydia can connect our patients with local services, community groups and activities to improve overall wellbeing.

Claire is our practice manager and has been working in the NHS in a variety of roles since 1997. Claire’s role is to provide pivotal day to day and strategic leadership to the partners, the staff and the practice as a whole, to ensure safe high-quality care for our patients.
Her role involves optimising efficiency and financial performance, to ensure the practice achieves it’s long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment. Outside of work Claire is married to Kevin, and they have three springer spaniels. At the weekend Claire can be found at agility training or competitions.

Ali supports Claire in the smooth running of the practice. Her role involves handling confidential correspondence, organising meetings, managing diaries, taking minutes, and supporting with HR and admin. Ali is currently leading on the practice covid campaign and deputises for Claire in her absence.

Carrie plays a vital role in the smooth running of the practice by managing key administrative tasks. These include processing of referrals, Invoicing, Coordination of the medical student training and summarising patient notes.

Our receptionists play a key role in making sure you get the right care, at the right time, from the right professional. As the first point of contact at the practice, they do more than greet you – they help guide your journey through the healthcare system.
Our receptionists are trained to ask a few simple questions to enable them to direct you to the most appropriate service or clinician, whether that’s a GP, nurse practitioner, practice nurse, pharmacist, or social prescriber. This is known as Care Navigation. They are trained to handle sensitive information confidentially and always work in your best interests.

Our Administration team work tirelessly behind the scenes to and play a crucial role in ensuring your medical records are up to date. The team is responsible for calling all our patients in for their long-term condition reviews, drug monitoring and ensuring the clinicians rota is added to the system in a timely manner.
Together the team ensure that the right information is in the right place- helping to deliver safe, well-organised and effective care.
Community and Attached Staff
Midwives
Nat from the Wherry Midwives team holds a clinic here every Tuesday. Patients are required to book their appointment directly with the midwife team by calling: 01603 481 222
Community Nurses
The community nurse team are not based at the practice. The Practice team are happy to send a referral to them if you are housebound and unable to attend the practice for your care.
Health Visitors
The health visiting team are not based at the practice. The team can be contacted by calling:
0300 300 0123 between 08.00-18.00 Monday to Friday and 09.00-13.00 on a Saturday.
The Practice also hosts monthly clinics for the ITP Physio, Neuro team, Continence team and the Diabetic specialist nurse. The individual teams are responsible for directly booking patient appointments.
