Chet Valley Medical Practice Mission Statement 

At Chet Valley Medical Practice, our mission is to deliver high-quality, personalised healthcare at the heart of our community. We are committed to clear, compassionate communication with patients, staff, and all stakeholders, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and sustainable environment for care. 

We strive to use our resources wisely and efficiently to maximise patient services, while fostering a resilient, well-led organisation that supports continuity of care through strong patient-GP relationships. Our team is empowered through high-quality training, open communication, and a culture of respect, pride, and continuous improvement. 

Guided by our values of compassion, teamwork, openness, and innovation, we work together to deliver services that are safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led. We embrace change, focus on high performance, and learn from every experience to continually enhance the care we provide for our community. 

For patients: 

We aim to provide high quality, individualised care in a safe, caring, respectful, and welcoming environment which is easy and convenient to access. 

We wish to deliver our services through a stable workforce, where continuity of care is delivered by ensuring all patients are supported by their own named GP.  

We aim to deliver consistently good health outcomes through a well-trained and motivated workforce. 

For our Staff: 

We aim to develop and maintain a flexible and resilient practice which they can be proud to work for. 

We wish to develop, in partnership with them, a working environment where our staff enjoy being at work. 

We will be respectful and appreciative of each other and recognise the importance of clear two-way communication. 

We will deliver high quality training to current and future staff, allowing them the opportunity to develop and progress. 
We will support of teams to be cohesive and supportive of each other, ensuring that opportunities for continuous improvement are part of our structure and culture.  

We will: 

  • Behave in a compassionate, caring, non-judgemental manner in all of our interactions both internal and external to the practice. 
  • We will work as a team, breaking down barriers, providing excellent two-way communication, and ensuring that every member of the team has a voice. 
  • Develop and instil a culture and ethos where openness, transparency and honesty are core to the way we work. When we make mistakes, we will apologise, investigate what went wrong, and learn from our mistakes.
