Flu and Covid-19 Seasonal Vaccination Programme:

The Covid-19 vaccination and Flu vaccination campaign will start from the 1 October 2025. Clinics In the Surgery will start shortly after this date and we will also have Saturday clinics on 4th October, 18th October and the 1st November. Booking links will be sent out in early September for you to book into a mid week clinic or a Saturday.
Those who are eligible for the vaccinations, will be sent a booking link so you can pick a time and date which suits you.
Housebound patients will be contacted directly by phone to arrange the appointment.
Covid-19 Vaccination Eligibility
To be eligible for the winter Covid-19 vaccination you must be 75 year olds and over, live in a care home for elderly adults, or those that are severely immunocompromised, this comprises of the following:
- Organ, bone marrow or stem cell transplant patients
- Those being treated with systemic steroids for more than a month
- Those living with HIV
- Those receiving immunosuppressive or immunomodulating biological therapy, including children who are about to receive therapy
- Those undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy
- Those requiring long-term treatment for immunosuppression
- Those with a history of haematological malignancy including chronic leukaemia, lymphomas, and leukaemia
- Those with genetic disorders affecting the immune system
Flu Vaccination Eligibility
- Pregnant women
- All children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2025
- Primary school aged children (from Reception to Year 6)
- Secondary school aged children (from Year 7 to Year 11)
- All children in clinical risk groups aged from 6 months to less than 18 years
- Those aged 65 years and over
- Those aged 18 years to under 65 years in clinical risk groups
- Those in long-stay residential care homes
- Carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
- Close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
- Frontline workers in a social care setting without an employer led occupational health scheme
- Pregnant women and children under 18 can be vaccinated from the 1st September, and so we will contact you earlier in the campaign once we have our flu vaccine delivery
